Class Christmas Party
Our class Christmas Party will be held on the last day of school, Friday, December 22 in the afternoon around 2:00 p.m.  The whole school will be singing Christmas Carols in the Chapel Area at 1:00 p.m.  Please join us if you can.

FIELD TRIP--A Charlie Brown Double Bill at MTYP, December 7
We will be leaving the school at 9:00 with the show beginning at 9:45 until 11:15.  We should arrive back at school by 11:45.  

CHRISTMAS CONCERT--THURSDAY, DECEMBER 14 at the Caboto Centre
The children are asked to be there at 5:45 pm and need to be dropped off at the door of the smaller side room with the teachers. (They will not be allowed into this room before 5:45.) 
The concert begins at 6:30. 
Please dress your child in "nice Christmas clothes". 
Don't forget to bring shoes and your violins.

The parents are being asked to bring some "dainties" to share.  Please bring your dainties to school on the Thursday morning of the concert day.  Thank you.

CHRISTMAS CHEER BOARD HAMPERS
Every year our school puts together hampers for the Christmas Cheer Board.  Each class makes up one hamper for one family. Your child will be bringing home a note with a few food items listed.  If you are able, please bring these food items to school over the next 2 weeks.  There will be a sign up sheet if you are interested in buying a present for the children in the family.  We will also need a family to volunteer and deliver the hamper to the family. 
Thank you all for helping us make someone's Christmas a little more merry!

HALLOWEEN PARTY--October 31, p.m.
We are having a Halloween Party next Tuesday, October 31 in the afternoon.  The children may bring a costume to change into after lunch recess.  Do not wear the costume to school but bring it in a plastic grocery bag and they can change for the afternoon.  PLEASE remember this is a Christian school and make sure the costume that your child brings is appropriate. (NO weapons, blood, masks, scary or gory costumes).  The children do not have to bring or wear a costume if they do not want to.  

Schedule for that afternoon - Costume Parade  (1:15)
                                             - Dance in the gym
                                             - Recess (2:00)
                                             - Party in each classroom (2:15)

This year I have divided up the families in the class and assigned them one party for the whole year for them to be the SNACK/BEVERAGE PARENTS.  If your party day does not work for your family, you can trade with someone else or if you are unable to bring treats for that day, please let me know and I will make sure that there are enough snacks at the party. 
Remember - The school is nut free and we have egg and fish allergies in the classroom.  Please email me and let me know if you are able to bring a beverage or a snack.

Home Reading Log--The students received their orange Home Reading Log today.  Please log their reading on the corresponding day and return the log next Monday to be checked.  I will return it on Monday for the following week.  We will be assessing reading levels and making sure that we are reading the right fit books during this week.  Happy Reading!!!
